Protecting your Hardwood Flooring in the Fall
Fall is one of my favourite times of year. Fall means comfy clothes, cups of hot chocolate (with extra marshmallows of course) and the all the beautiful colours of the leaves. However, with some of these "gifts" also comes extra mud, salt and agh - snow.
Having hardwood floors throughout my entire house means I have to protect my investment from the elements. I always ensure my floors are safe by keeping a heavy-duty rug at my front door.
The easiest way to ensure my flooring does not become damaged from the elements is with a very durable polypropylene rug. Although not all rugs are designed for the outdoors and severe elements, polypropylene does not fade, the fibres are durable and it does not get moldy. The elements of Mother Nature is no match for a good, dependable, polypropylene rug!
By having a good rug on the porch and then another in the entryway, my floors stay nice and clean, my hardwood is protected and I can wow my visitors while matching my interior decor!
